Village of Schaumburg Annual Recycling Event with Illinois Recovery Group

To celebrate Earth Day, the Village of Schaumburg Environmental Committee, School District 54 and Schaumburg Township District Library are co-hosting the Schaumburg Annual Recycling Event.

Community Wide (no business or institutional waste)

What?
Document Destruction available until the truck reaches capacity. Docu-Shred will have a document destruction truck onsite. Residents can watch their documents as they are hoisted into the onboard shredder. All paper is recycled. Two Box Limit per Vehicle, No Exceptions Schaumburg Residents may also attend an earlier Document Destruction Event on Saturday, April 13th 9 a.m. to noon at the Engineering & Public Works Facility 714 S. Plum Grove Rd.

Electronic items accepted by Elgin Recycling include televisions (charges apply), computers, printers, telephones, radios, small appliances such as microwaves, holiday light strands, extension cords, computer wiring etc. Visit: http://www.elginrecycling.com/electronics/ for a complete list.

Vegetable Oil: Vegetable Oil accepted by Green Grease Environmental needs to be free of lard, fat grease, and grit.

Items Not Allowed
Not Accepting paint, hazardous waste, white goods, gas cylinders, and Freon containing items such as air conditioners and dehumidifiers. No business or institutional waste or recycling materials will be accepted.
